Phantom by Jo Nesbø (US release = Knopf Doubleday: October 2) has to go and feature Oleg, Harry’s not-son and one of the few people he genuinely cares about. Oleg also has the happy distinction of the few characters I would actually like to see more of unlike, say, his mother or any of the weird women who develop a weird thing for Harry despite his… well, his Harryness.
I couldn’t even finish The Leopard let alone grant it a favorable review, but I guess there’s some series/characters that just require a second chance. I really love Jo Nesbø’s writing and Harry is a really fascinating mess. And Robin Sachs’ narration for the audio books is really, really good.
In the mean time, I think I might re-read/re-listen to The Snowman. It’s awfully hot out once again, and days like this practically demand Scandinavian mysteries.
I have never tried JO Nesbo .. But will try reading one book soon
I would definitely recommend The Snowman even though it’s not the first in the series.
In that case you should check out the giveaway I have going right now. You may like it if you don’t have it already.
Very cool. I’ll have to check it out soon. 🙂
