Reader’s Progress #3

Abandoned:
None although I have come close to ditching Spider Bones by Kathy Reichs on several occasions.

Currently Reading:
Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer
Iron Duke by Meljean Brook
Nekropolis by Tim Waggoner
Rosemary & Rue by Seanan McGuire – Excellent so far!
Spider Bones by Kathy Reichs – Le sigh. Hopefully I’ll be done with this one soon.

Finished:
A Red Mass for Mars by Jonathan Hickman – Not a bad graphic novel, but it needed more substance.

Sparrow Hill Road stories by Seanan McGuire – A very cool look at highway ghosts and legends from the point of view of Rose Marshall, a dead hitcher who finds trouble and accidents frequently but can’t seem to ever locate any peace. Great world, great writing, and Rose was one tough and likable little ghost.  All 12 stories can be read for free at The Edge of Propinquity. I highly suggest checking them out particularly if you’re a fan of the paranormal or of the first season of Supernatural.

Reviewed:
Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock by Zeb Wells
Yarn by Jon Armstrong
Zoo City by Lauren Beukes

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction. You can e-mail me at inspector[dot]librarian[at]gmail[dot]com.
