My Book Boyfriend #5

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by The Unread Reader where readers can swoon over boys in books every Wednesday!

Today’s Book Boyfriend is Roarke from J. D. Robb’s In Death series.

In Death series by J. D. Robb

Because honestly there are very few fictional men that would be as great a boyfriend/husband as Roarke. (Sorry, Eve. Just borrowing. Don’t hurt me.)

A Decent Likeness of My Book Boyfriend:

This one’s was hard, but eventually I did stumble upon Nathan Kamp (cover model – see Dark Needs At Night’s Edge by Kresley Cole for more details). And he definitely works for me!

Nathan Kamp for Roarke

My Book Boyfriend Stats:

  • Irish
  • Tall, dark, handsome
  • Former thief and rogue
  • Computer hacker
  • Richest man around

What Led to Massive Crushing:

His stats are a pretty irresistable combination. His personality is also really awesome. He’s intense, charming, sincere, and has a great sense of humor. He commits to everything he does and to the people in his life, Eve in particular, and the fact that he doesn’t expect her to give up being loud, tough, and awesome for his sake.

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction. Hello Nathan! Wow, I went to that GR link that you post and I’m liking what I’m seeing. I always wonder if cover models are real people, sometimes I think it is hard to tell.

And Roarke, great name, sounds dreamy. Thanks for sharing him.
