Reader’s Progress #22

My own weekly meme where I keep track of books I’ve read, books I’ve had to put aside, and books I’ve reviewed for the past week. Since May is almost over, I’ve also included the progress I made during that month in terms of books and Reading Challenges.

May in Review:
Read: 19 books

Reading Challenges:
2011: 106 out of 200 books
Horror & Urban Fantasy: 13 out of 24 books
Speculative Fiction: 12 out of 12 books

It was a good month for Urban Fantasy, and even though I’ve read the minimum, I’ll be reading a lot more Speculative Fiction on the months to come. In June, I’m hoping to get started on my Steampunk Reading Challenge.

Read:
Hexed by Kevin Hearne – Will review on Monday.

Reviewed:
Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews
Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews – comes out on May 31st
Scandal in Scotland by Karen Hawkins – comes out on May 31st.
Timecaster by Joe Kimball – comes out on May 31st.

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction.
