My Book Boyfriend #15

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by The Unread Reader where readers can swoon over boys in books every Wednesday! Today’s Book Boyfriend is…

Saiman from the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews.

A Decent Likeness of My Book Boyfriend:
I really can’t picture anyone or even think of something to use here. Mostly because Saiman doesn’t really have one look he goes with and because his actual forms are very unique. Maybe Simon Woods would work in terms of his Aesir form?

My Book Boyfriend Stats:
– Part Aesir, Viking God, Frost Giant, and Human
– Shapeshifter
– True Form: 8′ 6″ Frost Giant
– Aesir Form: 6′ 1″ redhead with Roman features
– Neutral Form: Bald, lean frame, long face, large nose
– Strives to embody wish fulfillment

(For more information, see his Wiki page)

What Led to Massive Crushing:
I liked him before then, but I absolutely loved learning about his back story in the third book of the series, Magic Strikes and his having to revert back to his true form. Even though he’s sort of bad news in a lot of ways, I love Saiman and his issues with himself and other people.

And I am a very, very big Loki fan regardless of where he shows up.

Who’s your Book Boyfriend?

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction.
