On My Wishlist #22

WishlistOn My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s a meme where participants list books they want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

This week, I’m wishing for the Obsidian and Blood series by Aliette de Bodard. Why? Because I want to read more Angry Robot books and because there’s not a lot of Aztec series out there let alone ones that fall even remotely into the Fantasy genre.

Servant of the Underworld (Obsidian and Blood #1) by Aliette de Bodard   Harbinger of the Storm (Obsidian and Blood #2) by Aliette de Bodard    ster of the House of Darts (Obsidian and Blood #3) by Aliette de Bodard

The first two books —Servant of the Underworld and Harbinger of the Storm— are already out and book three —Master of the House of Darts— will be out on October 25th.

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction. Very nice covers. Like that they kept the same theme with all the books. Come visit me over at Livre De Amour-Books of Love.

  2. I, too, like that the covers are same in theme. Hope you get to read these soon 🙂

I have never heard of this series before. I love how you describe them as “Angry Robot books”. LoL

Interesting covers. My total wishlist stands at 854 books, an increase of 13 books since last week. My featured wish is After the Party by Lisa Jewell. Come see why.

Blood sacrifices, murder, mystery and priests and priestesses? What on earth is not to love? These sound terrific. 🙂 And the cover ‘ho in me can’t help but admire those too.

  6. These vaguely look familiar to me. Hmmm, I think I might have heard of them. They do sound good though. 🙂 Hope you enjoy them when you get them!
