Highlights from the Book Horde #32

My own weekly meme where I list some of the awesome books I bought, received in the mail, or checked out of the library.

In the Mail:
The Shattering by Karen Healey from Little Brown

A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin – Preordered from Amazon.

From the Library:
Carte Blanche by Jeffrey Deaver – I’m sort of afraid to read this because I love Ian Fleming’s original novels for James Bond so much, but it should be good.
H. P. Lovecraft: Against the World, Against Life by Michel Houellebecq
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson – I figured it’s about time I tried reading something by him.
Silk Is For Seduction by Loretta Chase

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction. You can e-mail me at inspector[dot]librarian[at]gmail[dot]com.

A Dance With Dragons sure has been popular. I haven’t read any of his books but they certainly seem popular. I hope you enjoy it when you receive it!
