Book Blogger Hop: 9/30-10/3

Book Blogger HopEvery Friday, Jennifer from Crazy For Books sets up the Book Blogger Hop. It’s “a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!”

This week’s question is: “In honor of Banned Books Week, what is your favorite “banned or frequently challenged book”?”

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman AlexieMy favorite would have to be The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, which I’ve read and gifted to others multiple times. It is powerful, important, and chock full of the most endearing sort of humor. I heartily suggest taking a look at it if you haven’t already.

What book did you pick? Feel free to comment and link me to your post!

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction. You can e-mail me at inspector[dot]librarian[at]gmail[dot]com.

  1. I’ve requested a copy of An Absolutely True Diary from my library, but it hasn’t come in yet! I can’t wait to read it since I hear so many good things.

…and then once I read it, I can start begging our Youth Services librarian to buy a copy of it for our collection.

I just hopped through, but I’m a new follower. My FF is over here if you’d like to stop by. Happy reading to you!
