Reader’s Progress #43:

Reader’s Progress is a monthly post where I look at my reading habits as well as the books I’ve read and reviewed.

February in Review:
Read: 18 books
Reviewed:  11 books

Reading Challenges:
2012: 54 out of 150 books according to GoodReads.

Reading Habits:
Although I read a lot of good books at the start of the month, February ended with me starting, stopping, and in general making very poor progress in the books I’ve been reading. At the moment, a lot of genres seem to be losing the appeal they had and I think I might have to swear off Urban Fantasy for a good long while. But first I do want to read Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire.

The good news is I bought a bunch of books at the end of the month and now that they’ve arrived, I suspect I’ll get more reading done. I just need to continue to give myself permission to both abandon books and neglect genres when they start to get on my last nerve.

About April

I'm a librarian, reader, and writer whose main goal in life is to be able to swim in books the way Scrooge McDuck swims in money. Although my reading choices will always be wildly eclectic and I never plan on leaving any genre unexplored, my favorite reads tend to be Fantasy, Young Adult, Science Fiction, Gay Romance, or Historical Fiction.
